Paragon Global Markets (PGM) is an independent introducing broker, registered with the National Futures Association (NFA) servicing a diverse mix of Futures, Foreign Exchange, execution and clearing clients trading in global derivatives markets.

The PGM management team –

William Sexton, CAIA
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Sexton is a senior capital markets professional with executive level experience across a broad range of functional areas and product lines. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Newedge USA, LLC and Head of the Americas for Newedge Group, SA where he was also a member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for setting strategy in the Americas. Mr. Sexton was also the head of sales and marketing in the region with responsibility for managing sales and client relationships. He has had responsibility for all functional areas of a Broker Dealer and Futures Commission Merchant holding senior executive level positions with industry leading futures brokers and exchanges. Mr. Sexton has served on the Executive Committee of the Futures Industry Association and the Risk Advisory Committee of New York Portfolio Clearing.

 

Stephen Grady
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Grady is a 32 year veteran in the financial services industry. Mr. Grady spent 23 years with a leading brokerage services provider in the derivatives space in positions of increasing responsibility ultimately as Chief Operating Officer with direct responsibility for a global staff in excess of 2,000 professionals. Mr. Grady subsequently was recruited to serve as CEO of MF Global in Chicago responsible for the management, development and integration of their derivatives businesses. Mr. Grady added Managing Director of Global Prime Clearing Services for MF Global to his responsibilities and was instrumental in growing that business into an industry leader.

 

Jason Boydman
Chief Administrative Officer

Mr. Boydman began his career in financial derivatives operations in 2005 as an Operations Analyst and subsequently Operations Supervisor of Institutional Services to two industry leading non-bank global Futures Commission Merchants (FCM’s).  Mr. Boydman also served as the Operations Manager of the Managed Services Division in the FCM subsidiary of a major derivatives market-making firm.  Mr. Boydman joined PGM as Head of Operations and was instrumental in its launch and establishment.  He was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer in 2016.  At PGM, Mr. Boydman is responsible for the management and supervision of firm activities related to pre and post trade operations, client services, firm telecommunication infrastructure and facility management and P&L reconciliation and analysis. Mr. Boydman is responsible for the day to day operations of the firm and reports directly to the COO.

 

Charles Matthews
Senior Vice President

Charles Matthews began his career in Chicago in 1988 as a desk trader. He held various trading floor and back office positions prior to joining a major FCM in 1991. In 1994, Mr. Matthews moved to New York to oversee and manage the margin/risk department. Mr. Matthews transitioned from margin/risk operations back to trade execution in 1997. Involved in electronic markets from the early stages, he was asked to head the corporate trading desks for both New York and Chicago in 2000. Since then, he has held similar positions with MF Global from 2005 forward. Mr. Matthews has extensive experience in acquisition/consolidations and global electronic trading platforms.
